Welcome to my shop !
My name is Barbara Rocas. I am a New Jersey native with a lifelong passion for art and the creative community. I currently reside in Charlotte NC with my partner and our cats :)
My zines are a collective collage series started in 2018 that focuses on my artistic growth, as well as highlighting talented creators in my community. I view this body of artwork as an on-going project to create new art and establish better art-making habits.
Protomatter explores art as a tool for meditation and discovery.
The artists featured in my zines are my friends and those who have important philosophies that they translate into their creations. I believe that it is important to support those around you that inspire you, and to share with one another in that collective creative experience.
